Since completion in 1953, Olmsted Medical Center has undergone several additions and remodels, including an upgraded mechanical system and newer rooftop air handling units installed in 2012.

As part of the retro-commissioning process, HGA identified numerous inefficiencies, including a chiller pump operation that could save more than $1,200 annually in energy costs. Additionally, our engineering team prepared an energy audit analysis, comparing the cost of purchasing steam from the hospital's existing waste-to-energy district provider versus the cost of producing hot water in the hospital's own heating plant.
