Overview

This 62,500-square-foot addition creates a signature building for the campus by increasing flexibility within the studio spaces, sharing resources among user groups, and expanding exhibit space for contemporary art. The program includes galleries for changing and permanent exhibitions, as well as classrooms, studios, offices and support space. The addition presents two architectural masses separated by a glass circulation spine. The eastern half includes classrooms while the western half houses offices, critique rooms, and various support and service functions. A courtyard offers outdoor space.
