Part of the first phase of the Twin Cities' Light Rail Transit (LRT) system, the airport LRT stations are located underground at the main Lindbergh Terminal and at grade at the Humphrey Terminal. The stations are accessible to the automated people mover, transit center, rental auto center, satellite airline ticketing facility, and the Concourse Connector. Aesthetically, the stations extend the main terminal's architecture and materials. A sculptural system of curvilinear ceiling panels evokes images of flight and movement.
