HGA provided overall design and management services on the Lindbergh Terminal Expansion where complete reconstruction of over 110 acres at the heart of the nations 7th busiest airport was accomplished in four short years. Terminal Expansion has included Parking, Rental Car, Roadway, People Mover, Light Rail, Mail Center, Concourse, Retail, Ticketing, Baggage, Security, Signage, Apron, Energy Center, Communication Network, Emergency Power, and Aircraft Ground Power improvements.

telecommunications

Working in cooperation with other Metropolitan Airport Commission (MAC) consultants, HGA's telecommunications team developed and implemented a Synchronous Optical Network (SONET) with the ability to share bandwidth between multiple applications. The system takes advantage of the high-speed digital transmission capability of optical fiber and SONET's physical architecture of dual counter rotating rings, to provide a more robust and enhanced system redundancy. SONET provides integrated transport of voice, data and video communications services.
