Overview
The Colonial Church of Edina is a modern Twin Cities landmark inspired from traditional New England Meetinghouses. The church features a village-like cluster of buildings that include a 1,000-seat Meetinghouse, Sunday-school building, administrative building, and support functions. Architectural details feature a bell tower, gabled roof, double-hung windows, white trim, and clapboard siding-traditional architectural forms with a contemporary sensibility. A seamless 1988 addition by HGA continued the precedence of the original buildings while nearly doubling the space, allowing the congregation to expand its programs and services.
