HGA

Working with an arts development organization, HGA designed three Artists' Live/Work Housing projects-one for each city of Mount Rainier, Brentwood and Hyattsville in Prince George's County. As part of an Arts District Master Plan developed by the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission, the three projects provide artists with affordable, flexible space large enough for living and working. Through a combination of lofts and flats each unit is 50 percent larger than typical affordable housing units. The Mount Rainier project (shown here) includes 44 housing units along with 10,000 square feet of ground-level commercial space.
