Overview

Augsburg College selected HGA for the design of its Hagfors Center for Science, Business and Religion because of our deep understanding of trends in higher education. The Center, which broke ground April 2016 and is expected to open January 2018, will integrate eight academic departments and 24 labs.

This interdisciplinary crossroads is a place where students are at the center of learning opportunities, and our design supports Augsburg’s mission for academic diversity and excellence. The 135,000 SF Hagfors Center will provide a home for biology, business, chemistry, computer science, math, physics, psychology and religion studies. The new building will house active learning classrooms, labs, meeting space and a small chapel. It will house eight academic departments and 24 labs in 10,000 SF of space, and 6,000 SF of student-faculty research facilities.
