Wisnewski Blair & Associates Changes Name to HGA Mid-Atlantic, Inc.
Wisnewski Blair & Associates, Ltd (WBA), which became a wholly owned subsidiary of Hammel, Green and Abrahamson, Inc. (HGA) in January 2011, is pleased to announce that it is officially changing its name to HGA Mid-Atlantic, Inc.
"Our new name reflects our growing visibility regionally and nationally," said Pat Halpin, AIA, vice president and principal with HGA Mid-Atlantic. "WBA has a strong reputation serving the commercial, federal and public sectors in the Washington, D.C. region. Since our acquisition by HGA, we have combined our traditional strengths with HGA's architecture, engineering and planning expertise in healthcare, higher education, arts and community work nationally. HGA and WBA have always shared core values for client service and design excellence. We are still the same great firm and people as before, but now with expanded resources to meet current and future client needs as we pursue new markets."
WBA was established by Joseph J. Wisnewski, FAIA, PE, and Ray Lewis, AIA, in 1976. Luther C. Blair, Jr., AIA, became a partner after joining in 1977. Today HGA Mid-Atlantic employs approximately 60 professional team members.
"This is an exciting opportunity for our firm," said Luther Blair, vice president and Chairman of the Board, HGA Mid-Atlantic. "I look forward to the new opportunities and greater benefits we will bring clients through our combined strengths with HGA."
