HGA Architects and Engineers (HGA) has received an annual Best Practices Award for SSM St. Clare Health Center in Fenton, Missouri, sponsored by the St. Louis Council of Construction Consumers (SLCCC).

HGA was noted for Best Practices for Partnering utilizing Integrated Project Delivery and Lean Construction methods.

Replacing the aging St. Joseph's Hospital in Kirkwood, the 427,000-square-foot Health Center on a 54-acre landscaped campus includes a 154-bed Inpatient Bed Tower (174-bed capability), an 85,000-square-foot medical office building, and a 75,000-square-foot ambulatory center, among other healthcare services. The complex blends Lean design with cutting-edge technology to define new standards in safety, quality and patient outcome.

Winning team members include HGA, SSM Health Care, and Alberici Healthcare Constructors.

Fourteen Best Practices have been validated by the Construction Industry Institute (CII) to provide savings in cost and schedule. The St. Louis Council of Construction Consumers (SLCCC) represents owners who are major buyers of construction in the St. Louis region.
