HGA Architects and Engineers (HGA) has relocated to the historic Ford Center in downtown Minneapolis at 420 5th Street North.
"HGA continues to experience growth as we meet strong demand for our services from clients in the healthcare, higher education, corporate and public sectors nationally," said Stephen Fiskum, Chief Operating Office of HGA. "The Ford Center is an important and visible building in a growing part of downtown Minneapolis. Our new office celebrates the building's historic amenities while enabling us to team in new ways to develop creative, innovative, and cost-effective solutions for our clients."
HGA designed its own space on four floors and, with owner United Properties, directed the overall building renovation.
The century-old building, originally constructed as a vertical assembly plant for the Ford Motor Company, stands adjacent to Target Field, public transportation and the historic Warehouse District. The Ford Center features a restored red-brick façade with a combination of rebuilt original windows and historically compatible energy-efficient new windows. A new entrance pavilion provides convenient access for visitors and tenants.
