HGA to Design Performing Arts Center Addition at University of Wyoming

HGA Architects and Engineers (HGA) of Minneapolis in collaboration with Tobin & Associates of Cheyenne, Wyoming, have received the architectural commission to design a new Performing Arts Center at the University of Wyoming at Laramie.

"The University of Wyoming is working to fulfill its role as a leader in the arts within the state," said Gary Reetz, AIA, vice president and principal with HGA. "The renovated and expanded Arts Center is a crucial step in achieving this goal for students and faculty with a modern performance and education center that supports diverse arts programming, cross-disciplinary curricula, and community engagement in the performing arts."

The Performing Arts Center includes approximately 50,000 square feet of new construction and partial renovation of the existing 129,000-square-foot Fine Arts Center, which houses the Music Department, Theater and Dance Department, Cultural Programs, and Fine Arts Outreach. The program includes faculty offices; teaching laboratory/studios for music, acting and dance; recital hall; theater; conference and seminar rooms; and support space.
